Short-term rentals are restricted to owner-operated bed and breakfast establishments. Requirements include employing no more than one non-family member, renting no more than 30% of the total floor area, providing adequate off-street parking, and passing biennial Fire Marshal inspections.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a Conditional Use Permit application to the Planning & Zoning Commission and attend a public hearing. 2) Pass a Fire Marshal inspection and provide proof of being current on all city obligations (taxes/utilities) and a valid borough sales tax account. 3) Following approval and a 15-day appeal period, the permit is issued; holders must then submit yearly activity reports between Oct 1 and Dec 31.
