Zoning & Conditions
Short-term rentals in residential zones require the owner to maintain the property as their primary residence (at least 180 days per year). Operators must provide two parking spaces per dwelling unit, pay a 6% bed tax plus sales tax, and undergo a fire and life safety inspection.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a complete application package (general and supplemental STR forms, floor/site/parking plans, renter handout, and notarized residency affidavit) to the Planning Office. 2) Pay the $100 filing fee and attend the Planning Commission hearing in person. 3) Upon approval, pass a fire and life safety inspection and register for sales and bed taxes.
