Zoning & Conditions
Short-term rentals are limited to four individual tenancies per calendar month. Occupancy is capped at two persons per bedroom plus two additional persons, further restricted by on-site parking capacity. In Cambria, strict proximity limits apply: no new rental within 200 linear feet on the same or opposite side of the street, or within a 150-foot radius of an existing vacation rental.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Obtain a Land Use Authorization/Zoning Clearance from County Planning & Building by submitting a 'will-serve' letter from water/sewer providers and proof of neighbor notification. 2) Once authorized, apply to the County Tax Collector for a Business License and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Certificate, paying the required fee (currently $50). 3) Maintain annual renewals and TOT remittances as required.
