Zoning & Conditions
Yuba County does not have a short-term rental ordinance regulating where or whether STRs may operate; however, accommodation-sharing locations (including Airbnb/VRBO/short-term rentals) in unincorporated Yuba County must collect Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 10% on stays of 30 consecutive days or fewer and may be subject to a 2% Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fee if activated. The County’s TOT rules require annual registration and quarterly remittance; the TOT registration form explicitly identifies “Short-Term Rental (Example: AirBnB, VRBO, Residence, Cabin, etc)†as a lodging type.
