Occupancy is limited to two persons per bedroom plus two additional persons (excluding children 5 and under), and a 500-foot anti-clustering buffer applies to all new permits countywide. Rentals must be for at least one night and no more than 30 consecutive days.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a VHR permit application via the County’s online HDL permitting portal with required attachments and pay the non-refundable application fee (approx. $760 + $31 surcharge). 2) Schedule and pass a fire and life-safety inspection with the local fire district. 3) Once the permit is issued, obtain a Business License from the Treasurer-Tax Collector; permits must be renewed annually.
