Zoning & Conditions
STRs are allowed in zoning districts where residential use is permitted, subject to an ownership cap of three parcels per person/business. Requirements include providing one off-street parking space per rented bedroom, distributing a Good Neighbor Guide to nearby residents, and adhering to occupancy-based gathering limits (8 a.m.–10 p.m.). ADUs/JADUs permitted after 2019 and certain alternative owner-builder (AOB) dwellings are generally ineligible.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Create an account on the Accela portal and start a Short-Term Rental Administrative application. 2) Upload required documents including a current grant deed, site plan, and a completed Good Neighbor Guide (which must be distributed to neighbors within 300 feet prior to submission). 3) Pay the $190 administrative permit fee and submit for staff review.
