Maximum occupancy is two persons per bedroom plus two additional persons (max 12); one off-street parking space is required per bedroom; ADUs are ineligible; and a 24-hour local contact must be available to respond onsite within 60 minutes. Non-illuminated signage (2–4 sq ft) with the permit number and contact info is required.

1) Submit a STVR permit application to the Calaveras County Planning Department including a site plan, floor plan, and statement of maximum occupants/vehicles; 2) Pay the application fee, register for Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), and obtain a County business license; 3) Secure a public swimming pool permit from Environmental Health if applicable prior to permit issuance.
