How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a completed Short-Term Rental (STR) License Application via the Jefferson County Citizen Portal including a floor plan, parking plan, trash plan, proof of ownership, insurance ($500k liability), and water/sewer documentation (including OWTS inspection within 90 days if applicable). 2) Provide defensible space compliance and written proof from the Fire Protection District regarding road access. 3) Pay the nonrefundable processing fee, notify neighbors per Level 2 requirements, and renew the license annually at least 30 days before expiration.
