Short-term vacation rentals are allowed in Residential Zone Districts but must meet the Village’s minimum stay requirements. A vacation rental is defined as a dwelling unit rented more than three times in a calendar year for periods of less than 30 days or one calendar month.
How to Obtain a Permit
1. Submit a Vacation Rental Registration Form and required checklists to the Village. 2. Pass a safety and standards inspection to ensure compliance with Section 45-40 of the Code of Ordinances. 3. Pay the registration fee and renew annually by October 1.
