Kentucky legislative text (26RS SB112) defines short-term rentals as stays under 30 days and prohibits local governments from requiring conditional use permits, imposing density caps, or prohibiting STRs in residential zones. Local governments are also barred from imposing residency requirements or limiting the number of properties an owner can operate. While local governments may adopt general health and safety ordinances, they cannot restrict the duration or frequency of STR use.
