Short-term rentals (30 days or less) are limited to two units per owner and prohibited for corporate-owned or deed-restricted affordable units. Occupancy is capped at two persons per bedroom plus two additional guests. Operators must maintain a local designated contact available within 6 hours and provide biannual electronic reports to the Select Board.
How to Obtain a Permit
1. Register with MassTaxConnect and obtain a Certificate of Good Standing. 2. Submit the Town's STR application with the $450 fee, proof of $1M liability insurance, and water test results (if on a private well). 3. Pass a required safety inspection per the 10th Edition MA Building Code. Note: Applications are currently on hold pending a software transition.
