How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a Vacation Rental License application including a scaled floor plan, 24/7 local contact info, and a water/wastewater system evaluation from the Health Department of Northwest Michigan (dated within 12 months). 2) The Zoning Administrator reviews the application for compliance with ordinance standards. 3) Licenses are valid for one year (Nov 1 to Oct 31) and must be renewed annually between Oct 1 and Oct 25.
