How to Obtain a Permit

1) Owner submits an application to the City including address, dwelling type, rental type, number of bedrooms/square footage, maximum occupancy, contact person information, and sworn statements proving ownership or principal-residence status as applicable; attach the City’s Certificate of Compliance pursuant to Sec. 14-268 (inspection/certification required except for Rentals Prior to Closing). 2) Pay the nonrefundable application fee and renewable license fee (amount set by City Council resolution); the City will notify property owners within 300 feet (notification cost included in fee). 3) Renew annually within 30 days of license anniversary by submitting a renewed application, sworn statements and paying renewal fee.
