Zoning & Conditions
Short-term rentals (less than 31 days) are permitted in all zoning districts where residential use is allowed by right or special use permit. Owners must obtain a rental occupancy permit, which is valid for 3 years and is non-transferable upon sale of the property. Units must pass a fire safety inspection every 36 months and have fire safety plans and extinguishers installed.
How to Obtain a Permit
1. Complete the Registration Application and submit it with a $350 fee to the City Clerk. 2. Schedule and pass a Fire Department safety inspection (required every 36 months). 3. Receive the Rental Certificate from the City once the Fire Department confirms compliance.
