Zoning & Conditions
STRs are limited to 30 consecutive days and a maximum of 6 overnight guests (up to 12 with a special permit). The rental must be the owner's primary residence or an accessory building on the same lot, and a host (21+) must be on-site 24/7 during rentals. Prohibited activities include use as an event venue and parking on public rights-of-way.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit an STR permit application to the Zoning Enforcement Officer including owner contact info, primary residence certification, and guest capacity. 2) Provide evidence of satisfactory health department inspections (septic/well) and pay the required fee. 3) Obtain a zoning permit (for conforming lots/3 or fewer rooms) or a special permit (for larger capacities), both of which require annual renewal.
