Zoning & Conditions
No dwelling or segment may be rented for less than one month generally; exception permits minimum seven-day rentals between May 15 and September 30. Owner-occupied multiunit dwellings and certain previously-owned secondary residences (owned before the ordinance effective date and when owner is present during Sept 30–May 15) are exempt from duration limits. Certificate of occupancy and a rental license (with STR endorsement where applicable) are required prior to occupancy.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a rental registration / rental certificate of occupancy and rental license application via the Borough’s online portal (GovPilot) or municipal forms; 2) Provide required tenant information and pay application fee online or remit payment per invoice; 3) Receive required certificate of occupancy and rental license (and STR endorsement if applicable) prior to occupancy; seasonal licenses expire Dec 31 of the year issued and annual licenses expire Dec 31 of the third year or at change of tenant as specified.
