1) Submit a completed Town of Southold Rental Permit Application with the $300 fee and a valid Certificate of Occupancy. 2) Schedule and pass a safety inspection by the Town Code Enforcement Official or provide a certified inspection report from a NYS-licensed architect, engineer, or home inspector. 3) Submit a notarized owner affidavit; permits are valid for 24 months and require renewal 90 days before expiration.
