Zoning & Conditions
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians recognizes short-term rentals and imposes a Tribal short-term rental privilege tax on operators (the ordinance explicitly references “Airbnbs†and similar lodging). The 2025 ordinance increases the privilege tax rate to 16% effective January 1, 2026; no explicit tribal zoning, occupancy limits, or primary-residence requirements were found in the reviewed code sections.
