Strongsville Ordinance No. 2023-131 (codified as Section 1252.38) defines "short-term rental" as rental for less than 30 continuous days and prohibits any person from operating, letting, renting, listing, advertising, or otherwise making available any dwelling in a residential district in the City for the purpose of a short-term rental. Exceptions include extended stay hotels/motels and certain community rooms. Violations are first-degree misdemeanors, with each day considered a separate offense.
