Upper Arlington’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO §5.02(B)) expressly prohibits renting a residence, or any portion thereof, to any tenant for periods of less than 30 days in residential districts; bed & breakfast homestays, apartment hotels, and hotels/motels are also prohibited in single-family residential districts. Ordinance 38-2018 enacted the prohibition and Ordinance 22-2019 removed the sunset provision, making the prohibition permanent.
