Marion County requires a 4% Tourist Development Tax on all rentals of six months or less. Bed & Breakfasts and 'Travelers’ Accommodations' must be licensed and inspected by Environmental Health. Notably, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) are prohibited from being used as short-term rentals and must be rented for a minimum of 30 days.
