Zoning & Conditions
Short-term rentals (less than 30 days) are capped at 18 total licenses borough-wide. Owners must reside within 20 miles or appoint a manager within that radius; licenses are not issued for units adjacent to existing STRs (with limited grandfathering). Properties must pass inspections, and outdoor overnight camping is prohibited.
How to Obtain a Permit
1) Submit a rental license application and required fees (including a $100 nonrefundable waitlist deposit if the cap is reached) to the Borough office. 2) Schedule and pass a safety inspection by the Enforcement Officer. 3) Once approved and a license is available under the 18-license cap, the license is issued; applicants have 90 days to comply with all provisions after notification of availability.
