Zoning & Conditions
Slippery Rock Borough’s codified rental regulations require owner/landlord notification and operating licenses for rental units and specify that owners must supply information "whoever... rents any dwelling unit or room or rooms for a period in excess of 30 days shall supply the Borough Administrator/Secretary" (§221-2). The rental operating license article (§221-6) requires inspection and a license (issued for up to two years) for rental units; however, the Borough code does not include an explicit short-term/vacation rental (under 30 days) permit or operational requirements. Butler County maintains a Hotel Room Rental Tax ordinance that would apply to transient room rentals.
