Lancaster County’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) treats “Lodging†as a land-use category that includes premises available for short-term human habitation (daily and weekly rentals). The UDO’s Bed & Breakfast standards require the owner/manager to live on the lot, limit operation to the principal structure, and state guest rooms are for transient rental with a “Maximum length of stay is limited to 14 days in any 30-day period of time.†Other short-term lodging is categorized under Lodging and is subject to the UDO’s zoning designations and conditional/special-exception procedures.
