Short-term rentals are restricted to a minimum 24-hour stay and a maximum of 90 rental days per calendar year. Occupancy is limited to a family or six occupants (whichever is greater), and operators must collect a 5% transient occupancy tax remitted monthly.
How to Obtain a Permit
1. Register with the Floyd County Commissioner of the Revenue using the official registration form and pay a $50 initial fee. 2. Obtain payment vouchers from the office and remit a 5% transient occupancy tax monthly by the 20th of the following month. 3. Renew the registration annually.
