Zoning & Conditions
State statute (HB 5164, 2024) prohibits municipalities from restricting the use of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) for leases or short-term rentals; Matewan’s official materials do not publish any additional city-specific STR zoning limits, occupancy caps, minimum night stays, host-presence requirements, or platform registration rules. The Town does require a municipal business/license for rental property.
