Zoning & Conditions
Occupancy is limited by the design capacity of the Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (POWTS) or state lodging license limits. A property owner or agent must be available on-site within 1 hour at all times during rentals. A maximum of four short-term rental units are allowed per lot.
How to Obtain a Permit
1. Obtain a Wisconsin ATCP 72 lodging license from the Bayfield County Health Department ($586.30 initial fee). 2. Apply for a Bayfield County Short-Term Rental Permit through Planning and Zoning ($500 per unit). 3. Submit a Town of Cable Short-Term Rental License application to the Town Clerk with a $100 initial fee.
